Penggunaan Buku Nama Khas (BNK) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemahiran Menulis Perkataan Dan Ayat Bahasa Melayu

Abstrak

Kajian ini dilaksanakan bagi melihat keberkesanan penggunaan Buku Nama Khas dalam membantu meningkatkan kemahiran menulis perkataan dan ayat. Kajian ini melibatkan 16 orang responden dalam kalangan murid tahun 3. Responden terdiri daripada lima orang murid lelaki dan 11 orang murid perempuan. Penyelidikan yang dijalankan merupakan satu penyelidikan tindakan yang mengikut model Lewin (1946) dan Laidlaw (1992). Semasa proses tinjauan masalah, pengkaji telah menggunakan instrumen kajian seperti Ujian Kata Nama Khas, permerhatian, temu bual, dan soal selidik. Hasil analisis membuktikan responden menghadapi masalah dalam menulis perkataan Kata Nama Khas. Masalah ini berlaku apabila responden gagal menggunakan huruf besar dengan betul semasa menulis perkataan Kata Nama Khas. Justeru, pengkaji mengaplikasikan penggunaan Buku Nama Khas (BNK) bagi mengatasi masalah ini. Dapatan Ujian Akhir Kata Nama Khas menunjukkan peningkatan peratusan markah responden antara 20% hingga 60% berbanding dengan Ujian Awal Kata Nama Khas. Hasil soal selidik juga menunjukkan 94% daripada responden bersetuju bahawa penggunaan Buku Nama Khas membantu dalam menulis perkataan Kata Nama Khas menggunakan huruf besar dengan betul. Secara keseluruhannya, penggunaan Buku Nama Khas telah membawa perubahan positif dalam penguasaan kemahiran menulis setiap responden. Dicadangkan agar tempoh penggunaan Buku Nama Khas ini dipanjangkan kepada lapan sesi atau lebih bagi memastikan semua responden menguasai Kata Nama Khas dengan baik. Selain itu juga, Buku Nama Khas ini boleh digunakan dalam mengatasi masalah lain dalam morfologi Bahasa Melayu seperti penggunaan kata kerja dan kata tugas.

Abstract

This research was done to see the effectiveness of using Buku Nama Khas (BNK) in order to increase the skill in writing the sentences. This research involves 16 respondents who are students in standard three. Five of the respondents were male and the rest were female. This research also followed the Lewin (1946) and Laidlaw model (1992). During this research, many ways were applied by the researcher such as Special Name test, observation in class, interviews and questionnaire. The results of the analysis prove that respondents faced the problem in writing the Special Name. This problem happen when the respondents failed to use the uppercase correctly in writing the Special Name word. Thus, researcher needs to apply the use of Buku Nama Khas (BNK) in order to overcome this problem. As a result when differentiating the result of the Special Name test before and after the use of Buku Nama Khas (BNK), the respondents showed their improvement about 20 % to 60% after using the Buku Nama Khas (BNK). The result of interviews also showed 94% of the respondents agreed to use the Buku Nama Khas (BNK) in helping them to write the Special Name correctly especially in locating the uppercase. As a conclusion, the use of Buku Nama Khas (BNK) was bring a positive changes to the respondents and it should be recommended to use this book at least into eight session or more in order to ensure all the respondents can use the Special Name very well. Besides, this book also useful to overcome the problem in grammar of Malaysia’s Language.
