They are about 28 respondents involved in this research including 16 Malay students and 12 Indian students from class 4 Cemerlang. Basically this research is using the Lewin (1946) and Laidlaw (1992) model. During the review process, the researcher has used two types of research instruments which are verification tests and interviews. Results from both analysis shows that the respondents have problems to use the preposition words; “dari” and “daripada” either in writing or speaking. Thus, researcher used the colour technique to overcome this problem. An action has been taken to introduce the students with the colour technique, language games using colour technique and drilling exercises with colour technique. All the analysis data through observations, tests and survey have been collected from the beginning to end of the observation. About 25 students received a good results in final test compare to their initial test. From the survey, 96.43 percent respondents agreed that this colour technique help to improve their knowledge in preposition words. As the result, students are able to use the preposition words; “dari” and “daripada” in writing and speaking. Further research can be done to check how effective this technique but the researcher need more time to do the research so it can comes out with more good result.
